Description
In the Roya Valley, nestling at the foot of the Massif du Marguareis, the village of La Brigue with its narrow paved streets, sunny little squares and vaulted passageways has carefully preserved its medieval character.
Many historic monuments can be seen here, the most well-known being the Chapelle Notre-Dame-des-Fontaines, nicknamed the " Sistine Chapel of the Alpes-Maritimes ". Its interior was entirely decorated in the 15th century by two great painters from Piedmont, Baleison and Canavesio.
